Honeymoonin'

Ryan and I left for Atlanta the night of our wedding. We got to ATL around 3 o'clock in the morning, which made for a tough start when the wake up call came in at 6 o'clock in the morning. To say, I was overwhelmed is an understatment.

Although, we had an early call and we were going on fumes... we some how made it to JAMAICA!! Once we arrived in Jamaica and made it through customs we had an hour and a half bus ride to Negril, Jamaica where our resort was located.

All the travel was well worth it because the resort was so nice, the food was amazing, and after all the wedding festivities Ryan and I needed a major relaxing vacation!! It was just perfect.
I mean, how pretty is that? This is the view Ryan and I took in every single day. AMAZING!

We were serenaded with a little Reggae, mon.

Each day Ryan and I would have lunch at the Beach Grill.
It offered everything from Jerk Chicken to Cheeseburgers. You can trust me on this... Ryan got his money's worth! (and if I'm honest I did too)

Ryan and I at the Beach Grill and Bar one day.

As I was laying out one morning Ryan decided to go to the gift shop to do some browsing. I stayed behind and enjoyed my US Weekly. Upon his return he was super excited. Turns out... Ryan is not to be out done by yours truly, as he had purchased these...

I had raved about my new Havaianas and when Ryan saw the opportunity to purchase a pair he went for it. What's that saying... Imitation is the highest form of flattery?

Much to my dismay and Ryan's excitement Jamaica had ESPN...

So for those of you who were concerned... don't fret we were able to watch all the highlights each morning. It was fine.

We spent our days reading, laying out, occasionally hopping on a float, one day we went ocean kayaking, and at night we enjoyed fancy dinners followed by drinks at the piano bar.

We both had a great time. It was so relaxing.

I'm glad we left Jamaica when we did because apparenly there is a state of emergency going on now. According to CNN, "The State Department issued a travel alert for Jamaica on Friday, saying that the "possibility exists for violence and/or civil unrest in the greater Kingston metropolitan area." We were not really near Kingston so we were never in harms way. (I don't think) In Montego Bay we did cross paths with about six camo jeeps packed out with men armed with big guns... but no one really acted like that was odd so I went with it... I just assumed that must be normal.

Overall, the honeymoon was just perfect!! I'm ready for another relaxing beach trip and it's only day two back in the work force. What does that mean?
