Fashion Do or Don't?

Who could this be?

Other people were pointing in confusion at the uber conservative dress.

When I first saw this person I thought to myself, Wow- someone just arrived to Lake Martin, Alabama from Morocco... either that or this is someone very conservative..

NO, it was not this lady arriving at SinClairs fresh off her motorcycle:

It was nothing of the sort!

It was just my friend Lacey in her new dress she ordered off of EBay, potentially from a seller located far far away.
Yes, it goes all the way to the ground and is long sleeve.

I love Lacey because she is, without a doubt, brave enough to just go with whatever her little heart desires. Whether it be rocking a scantly clad bathing suit or the most conservative "moo moo" type dress.... The girl just goes with. Can't help but love her and occasionally laugh with her at her fashion statements.

A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words...

This picture that Ryan's sister, Ali, snapped over Labor Day weekend of Ryan and me cracks me up.

It sums us up so well. Ryan is taking his job of toting that cooler so seriously and I am "pretending" to help tote the cooler which in turn is cracking me up and aggravating sweet Ryan.

You see Ryan thinks I'm not very strong. (which I'm not) He's helped me move several times from a couple of different cities, but only once was it just the two of us. He was stuck with me as his helper to get the process going. He wanted to get everything loaded up as fast as possible. No lolly-gagging on his watch.

However, I knew my parents were on there way and would arrive in roughly an hour to help out. To me this meant lets just clean up a little bit and wait for Dad to get here and help with the heavy lifting. To Ryan that meant nothing... we had a job to do and why should we wait an hour before getting things going.

My roommate at the time was helping her boyfriend and they were really doing work. I mean, she was helping tote dressers, mattresses, tables, TVs... Ryan didn't want to be out done, so he told me that we were about to move my dresser. I got on one end- Ryan got on the other. We didn't make it too far before I was done.

The thing is I'm sort of petite and Ryan is over six feet tall. He doesn't understand what it's like to be fragile.

From that day on it has really bothered Ryan that I am of no help when it comes to moving large items or lifting heavy objects. He's own his own as far as I'm concerned.

Just a few weeks ago when our new couches were scheduled to come in I told him we needed to move the old couches out (by "we" I meant "he"). He bravely asked for my help which eventually turned into a tiny rant about how weak I am.

I find it amusing, really.

I think that's why I find the above photo so funny. Ryan is toting that heavy cooler, which is no doubt backed to the brim, and thinking "quit acting like you're doing something... you can't even help me tote a dresser 50 yards. So weak." While I am, at the same time, so amused.

Ahhh, Ryan- You got me for life, brah!

It's Friday... ALL DAY LONG!!

I hate Fridays! They are too laid back, I have to wear jeans, and on top of that I leave work at 1:00 every Friday. Basically Friday's are awful. Eww. So in order to help perk up a day that is already pretty drab... I am going to share a couple of jokes with everyone. Now these aren't going to win any awards anywhere, but someday when you are put on the spot you can always fall back on these two... and I have some good experiences with them. So, here we go...

Joke #1:
Why did the chicken wear underwear on his head?
(pause for anticipation)
To Cover up his PECKER!!! Hahaha.

Now keep in mind... these are just to help brighten a dull Friday... like I said... these jokes have not received any awards. The next one is a little longer and may require a bit of practice prior to actually reciting it for a large group.

Joke #2:
A farmer had three daughters. It was a FRIDAY night and they were all getting ready while waiting for their dates to pick them up separately, of course.

The first potential suitor knocked on the farmers door.
The farmer answered. The first guy said, "Hi. My name is Eddie. I am here to pick up Betty. We are going out for Spaghetti. Is she ready?" The farmer responded, "Not quite, come on in."

The second guy showed up, and nervously knocked on the door.
Again the farmer answered. The second guy stood on the front stoop and said, "Hey. My name is Joe, I am here to pick up Flo. We are going to the show. Is she ready to go?"
And the farmer invited him in...

After a few more minutes the third guy knock eagerly on the farmer's door.
The farmer went to the door and opened it. The third guy said, "Hi. My name is CHUCK!"

Maybe these little jokes tickled you like they did me... or maybe I have a third grade sense of humor. Not sure, but I am a fan of both. Share these with a coworker... brighten someone else's day! Just a enjoy a good laugh, if you will. Happy Friday Yall!!
