O.T.W.- Wedded Bliss

Over the weekend, Ryan's best friend from his hometown married his high school sweetheart.  The rehearsal dinner and wedding were in his hometown, and the reception was in Anniston at Classic on Noble.

The wedding was beautiful, as was the bride. Ryan got to spend the weekend hanging out with his hometown posse as well as his sweet, sweet family.

Saturday during the day I hung out with Ryan's siblings, Clay and Ali, and Ali's BF Jackson. We spent the day on the lake while Ryan was doing wedding duties.

After the ceremony we ventured over to Anniston for the reception.

Bride and Groom!!

My handsome husband!!

After the reception we walked around the block to Peerless for some continued fun!!

Lovely Sister-in-Law and Brother-in-Law

Brotherly Love
I was excited that the reception was in Anniston because I was able to call up my cousins Robin and Leslie to meet up for a FUN night!

I spent a good bit of the evening dancing with this young lady. She had some moves I couldn't rightfully copy and still feel as though I was acting like a lady.

I'm so in to my moves I can't bother with looking at Deidra while she's talking to me.

Sweet cousin, Leslie

On Sunday, Ryan's parents hosted several of us for a lunch of grilled ribs and shrimp boil. Shout out to Mr. Benny because his ribs were so good I think they could rival The Neelys. It was all so good. I'm so thankful to have such a sweet group of In-Laws. They just welcome me in as one of their own and I couldn't love them more for it.

Friday Fun Facts:

TGIF, crazies!!

Here are some fun facts for ya:

1. Dirty Dancing sucks me in every. single. time. I mean, between Penny getting herself in a mess and Baby having to stand in for her... and then to toss in sexy Johnny and I will go ahead and give two hours of my life away. I actually did just that Wednesday night of the week (over a glass or two of wine I must add).
Favorite Scene: OH LOVER BOY.... ANDWHEN HE STILL DOESN'T ANSWER.

2. I read an article in the newspaper this morning which listed three ways to find instant calmness. The first two I could understand... One was about taking a deep breath and the other way to finding calmness was to eat a snack... but the last one is the one that got me. The third way to finding calmness read: Quick: Where's your tongue? Most likely it's resting on the roof of your mouth. "Those constricted muscles restrict breathing and signal your nervous system that it is under threat." says psychotherapist, Eddie Reece. Try relaxing your tongue and jaw, allowing our tongue to hang out along your lower jaw.  Ummm, that's odd, but I gave it a go. Here I am relaxing to the max at work:

And one more fun fact because two just isn't enough:

3. I am the most scatter-brained person you will ever meet. Type B to the max. I lost my debit card this week, and just as I was about to cancel it I found it my in the console of my car. Apparently after pumping gas I felt like putting it in there instead of back in my wallet. Then this morning as I was in a rush to get to work I meant to grab my wallet off the kitchen table and obviously grabbed Maggie's retractable leash instead. When I got to work I decided to buy a drink and when I went to grab my wallet I found the leash. Needless to say, I had to harass a co-worker for some change.  Such is my life.

Happy Weekend to All!

We've got a wedding in Ryan's hometown, so that's what we've got going on. See you on the otherside of the weekend for a little O.T.W. action.

All I Do Is WIN, WIN, WIN...

Outside of being an Auburn Tiger and winning every single game last season... I have also been pretty prone to personally winning other things.

Albeit random stuff but winning all the same...

This one time when I was living with Deidra in Birmingham I got pretty down on my luck :: read I spent all my money eating out, partying, and buying Forever21 clothes, so I was in the hole financially and needed help. I called home and my mom politely told me I needed to make better financial decisions:: read: she wasn't hitting my with hundred spot to hold me over. In such a desperate time I did what any girl would do. No, I didn't take on another job at night!! I decided that I would listen to the radio all day long and try to win some money in a promotional type contest they had going on. You had to be the 9th caller in the 3:00 hour when you heard a certain song. Well, I waited all day for the 3 o'clock hour and then dang it if I wasn't on the phone doing real work when THE song was played. As soon as I could I called in... and a man picked up and said "WZZK YOU ARE CALLER NUMBER 9!!"" And just like that I won $104.70. If my last four digits had matched up with something it would have been $100,000 but alas they did not match, but a WIN is a WIN!

Skip a head a year or so...  You may recall back in 2008 when I won a pair of Current Elliot Jeans, valued at roughly $246.00. They were boyfriend and too big once they arrived via FedEx but they were expensive jeans. I might one day gain some weight and need a bigger pair of name brand jeans. I'll be prepared.

Then around Christmas of last year I found out I had won a year supply of hot pockets! WINNING! I'm telling you...

Then yesterday arrived.  It was a just a normal day... but in my world there is no such thing as normal. I have to be random in some way. So I went in to work:: read: boring day at the office, hit the gym:: read: making up for all the food I ate over the weekend, and then drove home while listening to the radio:: read: WON VIP TICKETS TO SEE RONNIE DUNN (of the retired duo brooks and dunn).

Not really even a fan... but here's hoping he sings My Maria! But I will probably have to settle for We all bleed Red

I was just driving along, phone in hand, radio up when the DJ said caller number 7 will win VIP tickets for a concert in August... so I dialed in. And lo and behold... I hear "YOU'RE CALLER NUMBER 7. STATE YOUR NAME!!!" I was all, " HEY!! I WON?? YAY!! THIS IS JESSICA SANFORD!"

This is where it gets random. I didn't really know the details of the concert I just assumed it would be in Birmingham and if Ryan didn't want to go then surly Deidra would and we could stay at her apartment or with friends.. and I heard VIP so I assumed that would mean celebrity status... potentially meet Ronnie Dunn and the opening acts. At the end of the day it would make for a fun Saturday night... whatevs.
Well, let me just say... I have indeed won VIP Tickets to see Ronnie Dunn (which I'm unsure if he is allowed to sing Brooks and Dunn songs which would be sad) in Atmore, Alabama at the Wind Creek Casino (read:: Creek Indian Reservation).

Oh  my goodness, I am super random. But this is what I have learned--- in life YOU HAVE GOT TO PLAY TO WIN. And here's the thing, I play it all.... hot pockets- yes, please!! Name Brand Denim- I will take it!! A T-shirt from a local drugstore in town- won it last week! And now, Ronnie Dunn live in person in the middle of nowhere surrounded by Indians- I'm booking my motha freakin' room!!

Here's hoping each thing I win gets better and better... because you better believe my ass plays the lottery every. single. time. I can!! I won't lose hope until I'm sitting on a cool mil one day!

AND MY HANDS GO UP... and Day STAY DER!!

O.T.W. - Wordless Weekend

This was supposed to be a post with only pictures, or that was my intention at least. However, I am a woman of far too many words to try that angle. For instance I can't NOT comment on how handsome Ryan is...  So here's our weekend in fewer words.

HOTT RYAN!

Quizzical DJ

Not exactly sure. I suppose at the time this felt right.

Oh look, HOTT Ryan driving.

Sunset on Saturday.

Wise Mr. Harley Toland

Refreshing swim, it was indeed.

In all honesty she answers to Crazy as well as Maggie.  Can't help but love her.

Father Grilling on Father's Day. mmmmmm

Brahjah

That's my Daddy!!

My sweet mama and her step dad BOB

My, full of life grandmother, Nelda!

Oh look, HOTT Ryan, again and this time I'm in the pic too. Not sure why I look so wild here. Potentially talking during the picture.

What a perfect way to wrap up the weekend....
He wasn't aslpee he was just 'resting his eyes' in the recliner!

I hope y'all had a wonderful weekend too!

Maggie Weiner*

Not to be confused with another Weiner by the name of Anthony.

Maggie would never take lewd pictures!!

I mean, look how innocent she is:

*Maggie is half Weenie Dog in case you're confused.

Roses are Red...

...Hydrangeas are lots of colors, but blue is my favorite!!

For the Stella & Dot Trunk show Saturday morning my mom so kindly brought over freshly cut hydrangeas from her yard! I have loved having a house full of my favorite flower!

Hope you're keeping it real on this hump day! I'm planning a pizza party for my place of employment for lunch. That's just how I roll. Pizza on a Wednesday sounds good to me.

Potentially vying for employee of the month,
Jessica

O.T.W- Jazzy Jazz Fest

This weekend was so much fun!! It was one of those weekends in which Sunday rolls around and the only thing that is appealing is laying in the bed and watching movies.

And I did just that... three movies, a shower, and a two hour nap later and I finally started to come back from the edge.

This weekend was my small hometown's 21st Annual Jazz Fest!

Each summer when the Jazz Fest rolls around a good time can be expected. This year's line up both Friday  and Saturday night was the best it has been in years. The music was awesome both nights.

Friday night Wet Willie dominated and on Saturday night we jammed out to Yonrico Scott Band, Randall Bramblett with Geoff Achison and JJ Grey and Mofro.

Friday night's festivities. This is me owning the fact that I desperately need my roots done. So I covered them with a tiny umbrella.
Ryan was out of town on a Bachelor party, which was sad because events are always more fun when he's with me, however, I inserted Deidra and Ali in his place and it made for one of the best weekends ever!

In the midst of all the crazy jazz fest partying I also hosted a Stella & Dot trunk show/brunch at my house on Saturday morning. It's funny because I had a few last minute "chores" I wanted done before the party Saturday morning so at about 2 am Deidra, Ali, and I were hanging pictures in my house.

It was quite the sight... We had the tape measure out, hammer in hand, and potentially one eye closed to get it just right.
The alarm sounded bright and early on Saturday. We(me, dee and ali) hopped on up and made two breakfast casseroles, chocolate croissants, and sliced fruit for the brunch.

The party was a success... everyone sipped mimosas, enjoyed good food, and bought fabulous jewelry.

After the party wrapped up I laid down on the couch for a minute which turned into a little nap for me and   Maggie.

Speaking of Maggie... she got in on the jewelry party too!

She's a sucker for bangels.

Saturday night we hit up a local hot spot, Sinclairs, on the lake for dinner before the Jazz Fest at the Lake Martin Amphitheater.

Three Amigos

If you look hard enough... you'll notice a turtle swimming.

This is take number three. The first two were ridiculous.

Everything is more fun with Ryan. This is me wishing he was right there with us.

Mofro was so good.

These two cats had some serious dance moves... Loved it.

And per usual we ended up back at Sinclairs after the Jazz Fest for some wild and crazy nonsense.

I have not had a weekend in which I have laughed so hard in a long time. Deidra and Ali make for some great company. It was so fun to have everyone to the house for brunch on Saturday and to have a weekend filled with great friends and awesome music.
